VietNamNet Bridge – The Ha Noi People’s Committee has submitted a proposal to the municipal People’s Council to name 42 new streets in 17 districts.

The People’s Council will consider the proposal at its meeting early next month.
The new Hanoi streets are named after patriotic personalities including Trinh Van Bo, who donated gold to the Government in 1945; former Minister of Irrigation Nguyen Thanh Binh, who conducted research on elementary particle physics; and artist Bui Trang Chuoc, who designed the Vietnamese coat of arms.
Others new streets to be named include Tan Dan, Nguyen Dinh Tu and Ton Quang Phiet in Bac Tu Liem District; Khuc Thua Du, Tu Mo and Nguyen Quoc Tri in Cau Giay District; and Tam Khuong; Trung Phung and Nguyen Ngoc Doan in Dong Da District, among others.
The length of Nguyen Van Huyen, Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Tran Huu Du, Dang Thai Mai and Nguyen Mau Tai streets has been proposed to be adjusted.
The city’s authorities proposed naming Thanh Xuan Park for the land already under management plan in Thanh Xuan District.
