VietNamNet Bridge – Hanoi authorities have issued an anti-illiteracy and educational development plan which aims to reach national standards on anti-illiteracy in all districts and communes.

The VND34 billion or $1.6 million plan will be carried out from 2011 to 2015, in two phases.

Under this plan, 100 percent of classrooms for pre-school students will be upgraded.

The capital city also targets to popularize primary and junior secondary education to children at the school age; to have 50 percent of schools and 100 percent of teachers satisfying national criteria by 2015.
