VietNamNet Bridge – A slaughter house which can process hundreds of cattle and poultry a day will be built on 4.4 hectares of land, at the cost of over VND100 billion ($5 million) in Hanoi’s suburban district of Thanh Oai.
The construction is scheduled to complete in 2012, implemented by Thanh Oai district authorities. The slaughter house’s designed capacity is processing 15 cattle, 30 pigs and over 200 poultry a day.

In December 2010, Hanoi’s largest slaughtering house named Thinh Liet was forced to close owing to environmental pollution.

Twenty-six families working at the slaughter house are leased with land in an industrial zone in Thanh Oai district to build a new slaughter house.
