City authorities will also repurpose existing car parks in historic inner-city areas to create underground and multi-storey parking zones.

Based on Hà Nội's recently approved underground space plan, the city's subterranean area will encompass 756 square metres across 20 districts, with a maximum depth of 30 metres.
