Five children from Hanoi, aged 7 to 12, have won six first and four second prizes at three international music competitions which took place over June in Italy.
At the 18th International Music Competition ‘Pietro Argento’, Truong Thi Ngan Ha (13) claimed first place in Group B (aged 10-12) and Truong Quang Dieu (9) took second place in the under 9 competition. The event has attracted more than 100 contestants from over 20 countries around the world, competing in numerous arts forms.
The fifth International Piano Talents’ Junior and Senior Competition saw the presence of outstanding young Vietnamese aficionados. Two first prizes for Group C (aged 11 – 13) and Group B (aged 8-10) went to Phan Thien Bach Anh (13) and Tran Minh Chau (11); meanwhile Ngan Ha and Quang Dieu brought home second prizes in Group C and Group A (aged 5-7), respectively.
Five students have also taken part in the 18th Val Tidone International Music Competition for Young Talents. Ngan Ha and Bach Anh ranked in the top percentile of Group B (aged 10-15), whilst Truong Quang Dieu and Tran Tri Duc came in first and second in Group A (aged under 9) respectively.
The awards received at the international music competitions are not only a great honour for the talented young pianists but also bring great pride to the Vietnamese music industry.
Phan Thien Bach Anh and Truong Thi Ngan Ha were honoured among Hanoi’s top ten outstanding young faces in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
