VietNamNet Bridge – Host masters Luong Phuong Hanh and Tran Tuan Minh dominated the National Chess Championship after the fifth rounds yesterday in Ha Noi.

Hanh, who has not won any World Chess Federation title yet, continued her amazing performance beating Women’s International Master Vo Thi Kim Phung of Bac Giang who is the No 3 seed here.
Hanh is the sole leader of the women’s category with 4.5 points after four wins and one draw.
No 2 seed IM Pham Le Thao Nguyen from Can Tho had a draw game in a match against No 1 seed Women’s Grandmaster Hoang Thi Bao Tram of HCM City.
In the next round, Hanh will meet Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao of Bac Giang. She is currently at No 4 with four points.
Nguyen will see WGM Nguyen Thi Mai Hung of Bac Giang and Tram will play Le Thi Ha of Hai Phong.
On the men’s side, all six matches of leading masters ended in a draw. It made no change in their overall ranking.
GM Minh is in top place with four points. IM Le Tuan Minh of Binh Duong is at second position with 3.5. GM Bui Vinh of Ha Noi is at third with the same points but less parameters.
