The double-decker bus's red colour is easily recognisable.

The double-decker’s second storey is open so that tourists may comfortably view the city without any obstructions.

There are 42 seats on the second storey, which is also equipped with a retractable roof.

Hanoi’s Vice Chairman Nguyen The Hung visits the bus before its first ride.

The double-decker bus begins its trial journey at the Hanoi Opera House and moves along Trang Tien Street, before going around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Some tourists say they are excited to observe the city from the second storey of the bus.

Observations show that the bus is not caught by electric wires or tree branches along the streets that it traverses.

The bus is equipped with a free Wi-Fi service and two LED displays announcing the next stop and displaying images of Hanoi’s scenic spots.

The double-decker bus also has an audio system to introduce the history and culture of the destinations in different languages.

After a trial period to survey the most appropriate route, the service, known as City Tour, will be officially launched in the fourth quarter.
