VietNamNet Bridge – Ten days after its inauguration, the Hoa Binh (Peace) Park has been downgraded.

The Peace Park is over 20 hectares big, including 5.5 hectares of lake. It has three gates, with the main one featuring chim Lac (Vietnamese legendary bird) and looking to Pham Van Dong road. The two other gates feature flying doves.

Located in the centre of the park is a 20 ton bronze statue named Peace. The 7.2m statue depicts a mother carrying a child in her arms and a dove. The statue is placed on a 22.8m platform.

However, only 10 days after the inauguration, the park looks dirty and smeared.
