The C30 complex, which has a total area of nearly 41 ha, is located in districts Tan Binh and 10.

The area will include residences, offices, a post office, high-tech areas, and schools and health facilities.

The C30 complex is divided into two parts, 30ha in District 10 and 10ha in Tan Binh District.

The city’s People’s Committee has asked the District 10 People’s Committee to adjust the detailed plan at a scale of 1/2000 for the C30 complex.

The C30 complex is expected to attract about 3,000 residents in Tan Binh District and more than 5,000 residents in District 10.

In addition, the city’s Department of Planning and Investment will conduct research on the Truong Tho residential area in Thu Duc District and the location of an inland container depot (ICD) in District 9 that would serve the Truong Tho Port in Thu Duc District.

The HCM City People’s Committee has approved construction of the inland container depot under a public-private partnership.

The 60ha ICD, to cost VND5.8 trillion (US$260 million), will be finished by 2019.

The People’s Committee has instructed the departments of Transport, Planning and Architecture, and the District 9 administration to widen the 10m-wide Nguyen Xien Street to relieve traffic congestion near the port.

The People’s Committee has also approved new adjustments to the Mien Dong Bus Station project in District 9 and Metro Line No.1.

Investors will be allowed to build residential, trade and service buildings at a height of no more than 12 floors.

The Mien Dong Bus Station complex would cover 16 hectares, and 12.3ha will be in Long Binh Ward in District 9. The remaining will be in Dii An District in Binh Duong Province.

As planned, the bus station will serve about 21,000 passengers per day, with 1,200 buses departing daily. On peak days, this will increase to 52,000 passengers and 1,800 buses.
