VietNamNet Bridge – HCM City bagged the top spot in the finswimming event at the National Swimming and Finswimming Championships in Ha Noi.

The city’s athletes pocketed eight gold, nine silver and six bronze medals after four days of competitions at the Aquatic Sports Centre.

Da Nang came second with five golds, followed by hosts Ha Noi who have four titles.

Nearly 100 finswimmers from 16 delegations participated in the event, which saw six new national records, half of them set by HCM City and the others by Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh and Ha Noi. The swimming event continues with competitors vying for 43 sets of medals.

The championship ends on October 22.
