Tourism receipts were estimated at VND73 trillion (US$3.13 billion) in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 17 per cent.

In the last six months of this year, the department will continue to diversify and improve tourism products and services, said Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, deputy director of the department.
It will encourage more farmer households in Can Gio and Cu Chi districts to develop eco-tourism and agro-tourism models, Hoa said.

Many agro-tourism models attract thousands of visitors, including Green Noen in An Nhon Tay Commune and Hai Thanh Koi Farm in Trung An Commune in Cu Chi District and Vam Sat ecological tourist site in Can Gio District.
