VietNamNet Bridge – The HCM City Customs Department has cracked three cases where raw material for heroin production was being smuggled into Australia.
Another batch was supposed to comprise three tins of seaweed cream. Instead they contained 1.6kg of Pseudoephedrine.

Department officials last Wednesday and Thursday detected "unusual signs" around three batches of goods being sent to Australia. They did not elaborate.
Tests carried out by the municipal Criminal Science Institute showed that one batch, which was 17kg of wet tissues for children, was soaked with Ephedrine, often used in drug production.
Another batch was supposed to comprise three tins of seaweed cream. Instead they contained 1.6kg of Pseudoephedrine.
A few days earlier, the officials had discovered another batch of goods being sent to Australia containing 4kg of Pseudoephedrine. The substance was hidden in 20 tins supposed to contain stewed meat.
