They grabbed 31 golds, eight silver and eight bronzes. Bro Club of Malaysia and Chinese Taipei came second and third, respectively.
On the last day of competition, HCM City won nine golds, five silvers and one bronze.
The three-day event gave a good chance for Vietnamese martial artists to hone their skills for upcoming events. It attracted 497 athletes and coaches from 29 clubs in 12 countries and territories, such as South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Pakistan, Thailand and Australia.
Thirty-five of 55 medals were given to athletes in the sparring or fighting events, while the other 20 were awarded to athletes in the Poomsae events or performance.
The Asian Taekwondo Federation observed the event with a view to granting HCM City the right to host the Asian Taekwondo Championships in April next year.
The clubs championships was first hosted in 1989 by HCM City's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the city's Martial Arts Federation.
