VietNamNet Bridge –Italian maestro Andrea Centazzo will be holding a multimedia concert at the HCM City Academy of Music on Tuesday and the Labour Theatre in Ha Noi on Thursday.

The performance will feature a combination of images, live music, historical narration and his own emotional involvement.

Over the last 40 years, Centazzo has performed more than 2,500 concerts in Europe, the US and Asia. He has recorded more than 180 LPs and CDs and is the author of 470 compositions, eight musicology books and 45 video films and multimedia works. He has performed in the most prestigious international festivals as a soloist as well as a symphonic and operatic director.

Since 1970, Centazzo has become renowned as a pioneer of video art and contemporary percussion. He has received a number of prestigious music and video awards.

Since 1998, Centazzo has focused on creating multimedia shows in which he merges his music, based on traditional percussion instruments, with new digital media and videos. His last performances were inspired by the genius of Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Buddha and Charles Darwin.

The performance has been organised by the Italian embassy, with sponsorship from Icham (Italian Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam) to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.
