The need is for 10 per cent with university degrees, 40 per cent with college or vocational diplomas, 35 per cent with high-school degrees, and 15 per cent trained workers.
The demand has risen especially in the fields of economics and business management, information technology, finance-banking, auditing-accounting, hospitality, tourism, foodstuff processing, and construction.
Tran Anh Tuan, deputy director of FALMI, said in the previous month demand was highest in the textile, footwear, sales, marketing, services, electronics, communication and technology, and education segments.
Demands for workers with high-school degrees plunged from 60 per cent in March to 35.39 per cent in April, he said, with businesses preferring skilled and highly trained workers.
