The non-competitive run was named after Terry Fox who suffered bone cancer, had one leg amputated, and decided to run 5,300km to raise people’s awareness of bone cancer and garner support for bone cancer patients.
Over the past 15 years, Fox’s courageous image has been continuously honored in many runs in his name to raise funds for cancer patients in Canada and 60 other nations around the world.

The event was organized by the Canadian Consulate General in HCMC, the Canada International School, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and the City’s Union of Friendship Organizations.
