Coping with the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Ho Chi Minh City has launched the movement "Expanding green zones on the Covid-19 map".

Accordingly, in the central areas, the city will check, test and remove F0 (Covid-19 infected cases) to transform more green zones on the map. The municipal Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control will use the Covid-19 risk map to monitor and evaluate the implementation of this campaign.

Under the campaign, many areas in Ho Chi Minh City have established their "green zones” which are safe areas, where there are no infections or no risk of infection anymore.

The "green zones" are set up in alleys and residential areas. Almost every "green zone" is guarded by volunteers. Strangers and shippers are not allowed to enter these zones. When the shippers come to deliver the goods, they must stand outside the fence, call the customers to receive the goods, and all goods are disinfected.

The establishment of the "green zone" has been praised by the people. “Preventing strangers and shippers from entering residential areas is to ensure safety and prevent epidemics, so local people warmly support it,” said Mr. N, a volunteer at alley 338, Dien Bien Phu Road (Ward 11, District 10).

As observed by VietNamNet, along Dien Bien Phu road (District 3 and District 10), there are dozens of "green zones".

The wards of Ben Thanh, Ben Nghe and Pham Ngu Lao (District 1) also have many fences set to protect the "green zones".

Stopped at the gate of Do Thanh Residence (Ward 4, District 3), Minh, a shipper, was embarrassed, but when volunteers explained, he complied and called the client to receive the goods.

"Although it's a bit inconvenient, to ensure everyone's health, I'm happy to comply," Minh said.

On July 20, a "green zone" was set up at Do Thanh residential area in Ward 4, District 3. This green zone is protected by 12 checkpoints.
