hcm city roadshow aims for tourism promotion in australia picture 1

The roadshow will contribute to creating new opportunities specifically for Vietnamese travel businesses seeking to meet Australian partners, including outbound tour operators, travel agencies, MICE operators, and media as they gather to both share and discuss tourism cooperation possibilities.

The event will be organised in New South Wales between May 13 and May 14, before finally moving on to Victoria on May 17.

In New South Wales, Vietnamese travel agencies will come together to showcase tourism products and services with attractive deals and air tickets across more than 25 booths.

Vietnamese cultural music performances, a workshop showcasing arts and crafts, an Ao Dai (traditional long dress) fashion show, culinary booths, and a lucky draw will get underway as part of efforts to provide opportunities for Australian visitors to find out more about Vietnamese culture.

Furthermore, a seminar on Vietnam-Ho Chi Minh City Tourism and Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings will be held in order to promote the southern city as a dynamic and varied tourist destination, while also encouraging exchanges between Vietnamese and Australian businesses.

Roadshow participants will take part in a wide range of activities in Melbourne on May 17, including investment in Ho Chi Minh City, a trade and tourism promotion conference, B2B Meetings, and musical performances.

According to information given by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Vietnam is among the Top 10 favourite destinations among Australian tourists.

A report compiled by the Skyscanner platform in early November, 2023, indicates that Ho Chi Minh City ranked among the Top 10 most sought-after destinations for Australian travelers, with a growth rate of 246% recorded over the past year.
