HCM City supermarkets the day before tighter social distancing

On August 22, one day before HCM City tightened social distancing measures, it was a bit easier for local people to purchase essential goods to prepare for the upcoming days.

According to VietNamNet’s observation, some supermarkets were no longer as crowded as they were several days ago.

Smaller shopping sites such as Bach Hoa Xanh and Vissan meat shops were not crowded.

However, many supermarkets were still packed with customers. Many people had to queue for 2-3 hours to wait for their turn to enter the supermarket.

People also queued in long lines in front of ATMs.

From 0:00 on August 23, Ho Chi Minh City will strengthen measures to control the Covid-19 pandemic.
