The new administrative center will be bordered by the roads of Le Thanh Ton, Pasteur, Ly Tu Trong and Dong Khoi.

On October 20, HCM City announced the winners of the design competition of the city’s new administrative center.

Nikken Siekei and City Skyline won second prize, DCM took 3rd prize and BoysDen was presented the consolation prize.

The new administrative center will border the streets of Le Thanh Ton, Pasteur, Ly Tu Trong and Dong Khoi, in the city’s hub, on a total area of more than 18,000 m2. Up to 60% of the land will be devoted to buildings, with the maximum height of 30 m. The remaining area will be for trees and space.

Once the center is completed, it will be the home to government and state agencies, including the HCM City People’s Committee, the People’s Council, the Office of the city’s National Assembly delegation, the Department of Information and Communications, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Transportation and the Business Innovation Committee.

Several provinces and cities, such as Da Nang and Binh Duong, have built huge administrative centers worth dozens of million USD.

The estimated cost for this project has not been published.
