The 2016 Tourism Day is scheduled to take place at the September 23 Park in Ho Chi Minh City from March 24- 27, announced the Department of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism at a press conference yesterday.
This is the annual event for the city’s tourism industry, and a playground for travel agencies to advertise their best products and tourist services to both domestic and international travelers.
The large scale four-day event will have the attendance of the airlines and travel companies such as Saigontourist, Ben Thanh tourist, TST Tourist. HCMC Tourism Association.
Many promotional tour programs, preferential ticket sale for passengers will be also launched during the event.
Besides, cultural & art activities and seminars honoring the city’s leading tourism brand names will also be held at the four day festival.
Promo tours abound at upcoming tourism festival
Travel firms will launch many promotional tours and services at the HCMC Tourism Festival 2016 set to take place at September 23 Park from March 24 to 27.
A large number of travel and transport firms, restaurants, and hotels have put their names down to lease more than 150 booths at the annual event, which is organized by the HCMC Department of Tourism and the HCMC Tourism Association. They will introduce many products and services to visitors.
Nguyen Bao Anh, deputy director of the HCMC Promotion Tourism Center and member of the organizing committee, told reporters on March 16 that the festival will be an opportunity for provinces and travel firms to introduce their products to domestic and foreign tourists.
Nguyen Thi Khanh, vice chairwoman of the association, said there will be business matching sessions for tourism service providers from central provinces and travel firms in HCMC at the event.
“This is one of the highlights at this year’s festival,” Khanh said. In addition to demand stimulus programs, there will be activities for exhibitors to introduce their products and services to visitors, she added.
Besides cultural, art, and culinary shows and programs to honor the top tourism brands in the city, the festival will incorporate a “Colors of the South” program aimed to promote the National Tourism Year 2016 in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.
The festival is expected to welcome more than 250,000 visitors.
