The event, to be co-hosted by the World of Martial Art Union (WoMAU) and Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Culture and Sports, aims to promote friendship and cooperation in culture, tourism and martial arts between the two countries, according to the organisers.

On October 11 – 12, WoMAU officials surveyed various locations around Ho Chi Minh City and held a meeting with local authorities to prepare for the event.

Min Kyung-chan, general secretary of the WoMAU, noted that he would dispatch Korean experts to the southern metropolis to support the organisation.

The exchange week is expected to see the participation of a traditional art troupe, a Taekkyeon martial arts troupe, and Korean wrestlers who will put on performances.

The Korean working delegation visited the Saigon Opera House and the Phu My Hung area which will host cultural and martial arts performances this December.

On October 12, WoMAU officials worked alongside Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) which will hold a workshop on Vietnam-RoK cultural exchanges, as well as Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports that will play host to a workshop on martial arts exchanges this December.
