HCMC to renew walking street Nguyen Hue, Le Loi in downtown
Specifically, urban renewal project on the two streets will be conducted in the middle of March. At first, the park before and behind the Opera House will be renewed and then premises in the crossings between Le Loi and Nguyen Hue streets will be under construction.

The highlight of the renewal project focus on landscape in the airspace of the crossing as well as design space by dividing the special space to ensure open space for traffic and good vision as well as solemnity in front of Uncle Ho statue.
As per experts’ opinion, the city will build a tranquil pond with artistic sculpture and waterfall as landscape highlight and transferring space between People’s Committee headquarter and the commercial and tourist areas in Nguyen Hue and Le Loi streets.
Along with site clearance for the first metro project, the city authorities will redesign all architectural landscape of Le Loi to ensure connection of public space on the ground and underground for construction of Ben Thanh- Suoi Tien metro.
Walking street Nguyen Hue, park in front of the city Opera House and waterfall in the intersection between Nguyen Hue and Le Loi streets with other architectural constructions will form public space and attractive destination for dwellers and visitors.
