VietNamNet Bridge – This fireworks and light show celebrating New Year 2015 will receive investments of up to of $1.5 million from local businesses, according to the HCM City People's Committee.

The event is unique, large-scale and will be held to serve the local people and tourists during the New Year Festival.

It will take place at the 68-storey building on Ho Tung Mau Street, District 1. The program will last from 0h to 0h15 on January 1, 2015. The second place for the firework show will be Dam Sen Park in District 11.

The HCM City People's Committee has asked for permission from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Defense, and the Office of the Government to import more than 3.7 tons of fireworks from China and France, by air, sea and road.

An official of the Department of Sports, Culture and Tourism in HCM City said the total budget for this program will come from donors, not from the city budget.

Along with the fireworks, 10 roads including Truong Son - Nguyen Van Troi - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Duan, Ton Duc Thang - Vo Van Kiet - Ben Van Don will be selected for lighting decorations with different themes.
