According to the latest report from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the income of Vietnamese people working in many sectors improved between January and March this year.
People working in the processing and manufacturing area had an average income of USD7.2 million per month, up 24.2 percent from the previous quarter. The figure for those in the retail sector was VND7.5 million, up 23.3 percent.
People in the banking and finance sector had an average income of VND10.8 million per month in the first quarter of 2022, up 16.5 percent. The income for the real estate sector was VND10.7 million, up 32.8 percent.
HCM City ranked first nationwide in per capita income in the first three months of this year, followed by Binh Duong and Dong Nai with VND8.6 million and VND8.5 million respectively.
The southeastern region topped the country in per capita income during the period with VND8.3 million per month, up 36.8 percent.
Meanwhile, Hanoi’s per capita income in the January-March phase was around VND8.5 million, up 17.4 percent compared to the previous quarter.
