The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced at a press conference held on March 26 that the annual Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City event will be held from April 4 to 7 at 23/9 Park in District 1.
"There will be more than 100 booths showcasing plenty of tourism and culinary delights at the 20th Ho Chi Minh City tourism festival," the department said, adding that nearly 400 tourism products by travel companies and hotels, tourist sites, and restaurants nationwide will be discounted.
The exhibition and art spaces will also offer a variety of art performances and folk games to enjoy, including painting on pebbles, bags and paper, and stilt walking, the department added.
A tourism connectivity workshop and jobs fair will also be organised during the four-day event.
About 190,000 visitors attended last year's event and the figure is predicted to rise 10 percent this year.
HCM City has targeted six million foreign visitors and 38 million domestic tourists this year, with VND190 trillion in revenue.
