VietNamNet Bridge – HCM City won three titles at the National Women’s Tennis Championships, which concluded on March 8 at the Ha Hai Eco-Tourism Park in the northern province of Hai Duong.

In the U16 category, Tran Thi Thanh Truc of HCM City beat Nguyen Thi Mai Huong of the host team Hai Duong 6-0, 6-2 to win the title.

Huong’s teammate, Dang Thi Hanh, defeated Bac Giang’s Nguyen Thi Phuong 6-2, 6-3 to win the U18 division.

In the over-18 category’s final, HCM City’s Lian Tran crushed her teammate Tran Thi Tam Hao 6-3, 6-2

In the U18 doubles, Truc and Dao Thu Uyen of HCM City overcame the Hanoian pair 6-3, 6-4 to take the title.

The tournament attracted nearly 100 players from 11 cities and provinces. They competed in 10 events for different age groups ranging from U12 to over-18 as well as in categories for amateurs.
