VietNamNet Bridge - Rain started at 2pm on May 8. It got stronger at 3pm and lasted until 4.30pm. During the rain, an intense tornado swept away the roofs of dozens of houses and hit a lot of trees.

At the Go Vap Flower Village Park in Go Vap District, about 50 trees with root diameters from 15cm to 20cm falling were uprooted. Fortunately, there was nobody in the park during the rain so there was no casualty.

On Le Van Tho Road in Go Vap District, a tree with root diameter of 60cm fell on a coffee shop. Not far away, an ancient tree was leaning a rice restaurant.

Numerous houses on Tan Son Road of Tan Binh District and Roads 6, 9 and Cay Tram Road of Go Vap District lost their roofs.

The power grid on Road 21 and Le Van Tho Road in Go Vap district was cut off.

Electricity in the aforementioned areas was cut to ensure safety. Traffic on the roads with fallen trees was congested.
