The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department held a ceremony to honor and award for the city’s leading travel firms and agencies in 2015 at September 23 Park in HCMC on March 26, as part of HCMC Tourism Day’s activities.

Accordingly, the award categories include the leading travel company getting international tourists into Vietnam (inbound); the leading travel company take Vietnamese tourists travelling abroad (outbound); the leading domestic travel company; five start hotel; the best restaurant; and others.

Saigontourist Travel Service Company with its domestic turnover of over VND 1, 200 billion, Ben Thanh Travel Company receiving over 93, 000 domestic tourists, Thien Nien Ky Tourist Company and Fiditour Company welcoming over 90, 000 domestic travelers won “the leading domestic travel company” awards.

Besides, attractive tourist destinations in the city such as the War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ben Thanh Market, Cu Chi Tunnel, Dam Sen Cultural Park were also awarded.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of HCMC Tourism Department Van Thi Bach Tuyet affirmed that domestic travel brand names play an important role for advertizing, promoting the city’s tourism industry; and she hoped the city’s outstanding travel agencies will continue to have attractive tourism products and preferential programs for their customers in the upcoming times.
