VietNamNet Bridge – HCM City Vice Chairman Le Minh Tri has been appointed as the vice chief of the Central Committee for Internal Affairs.

So far, the Central Committee for Internal Affairs has had the chief – Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh, former Party Secretary of Da Nang city - and four deputy chiefs.
Two deputy chiefs who are not members of the Central Party Committee are Mr. Le Minh Tri and Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, former deputy chiefs of the Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption.
Two deputy chiefs who are members of the Central Party Committee are Mr. Nguyen Doan Khanh, former Party Secretary of Phu Tho Province and Mr. Phan Dinh Trac, former Party Secretary of Nghe An Province.
Mr. Le Minh Tri was born in 1960, a Bachelor of Law. He formerly served as Deputy Party Secretary of District 1, HCM City, in December 2009, he was elected by the HCM City’s People Council as HCM City’s Vice Chair.
With over 80 employees, the Central Committee for Internal Affairs has operated since the day the amended Law on Anti-corruption took effect, February 1, 2013. The committee is the advisory agency of the Central Party Committee, particularly the Politburo and the Secretariat on anti-corruption and internal affairs. The establishment of this commission is expected to make big changes in anti-corruption activities in Vietnam.
