VietNamNet Bridge – Art For You, an affordable art fair event organised by Manzi Art Space and Work Room Four, will head to HCM City this week. The event will be open to art lovers at Mai's Gallery 3A Station from November 5 to 8.

The event follows the trend of other affordable art fairs that have gained global appeal over recent years. It's an art exhibition that is geared towards selling work at prices the majority can afford.

Art For You is a collaboration project between Manzi Art Space and Work Room Four aiming to boost the local art market. Alongside offering the art with affordable price, the event also helps young artists expose their creativity.

"We wish to create an event that is enjoyable, exciting and inviting for those looking to pick up a bargain or just get some inspiration and discover new artists and their work," said Tram Vu, Manzi Art Space's founder.

"Art For You offers a place to find something you love, something that enriches your home. A work of art that keeps you feeling alive and thoughtful everyday. Buy it. Hang it. Cherish and share it. It is good thing to do for you and for the artists," she added.

Tram said, at Art For You, the works are selected and curated to fit certain criteria. Artists are specifically requested to peruse their repertoire and select older unsold works, preparatory sketches and smaller prints or photography or sometimes even create new work that they feel is good value for under US$900.

The art fair will have on sale a large collection of artworks by leading Vietnamese artists such as Nguyen Minh Thanh, Nguyen Manh Hung, Nguyen Quang Huy, and Pham Ngoc Duong.

International artists who present their works include Maritta Nurmi, Simon Reddington, Lawrence D'Attilio, Ben Reich.

Several artists of Hue and HCM City will also join the art fair by offering their creations.

Before heading to HCM City, two similar events were held in Manzi Art Space Ha Noi, comprising more than 2,000 artworks of over 80 artists. The fair featured paintings, photography, prints and sculptures.

Sai Gon Art For You will open from 9.30am to 8pm at Mai's Gallery – 3A Station, 3A Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1.
