VietNamNet Bridge - On September 9th, 2015, the HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera will hold a special gala commemorating the 21st anniversary of its debut at the HCMC Opera House, No. 7 Lam Son Square, D.1, HCMC.

The program will feature the “Sleeping Beauty” Ballet Suite and the “Romeo & Juliet” Overture by Russian composer P. I. Tchaikovsky.

The HBSO Symphony Orchestra and the HBSO Choir will perform under the direction of Maestro Tran Nhat Minh.

The second half of the gala will present a new ballet titled “The legend lives on” with the script and choreography by P.A. Vu Viet Cuong and P.A. Kim Quy, additional choreography by Nguyen Phuc Hai and Nguyen Phuc Hung, music for the symphony orchestra and choir by Maestro Mer. A. Tran Vuong Thach, who will himself conduct the performance.

Since its debut in September 1994, the HBSO, in its 20 active years, has made great strides in symphonic, operatic and ballet performances.

The quality of the programs is improving through each performance, meeting the audience’s demand for quality entertainment.
