At 5pm, Mr. Blankenstein, 46, Dutch nationality, passed Bui Thi Xuan road in District 1 to the hotel. Going through the zebra area for pedestrians, he was hit by a Dream motorcycle which was running from Bui Thi Xuan to Cach Mang Thang Tam road. He fell to the street.

At the same time, another motorcycle running from the opposite direction could not quickly handle and crashed into the man. After the two consecutive crashes, the man lied down on the road and could not move his neck. The man who drove the Dream quickly left the scene.

The passers-by stopped to help the foreign man but they did not know how to give first aid, so they did not dare to take him to the hospital. They let the foreign tourist lie on the road and called an ambulance. The incident caused traffic congestion on Bui Thi Xuan Street.

30 minutes after the accident, a crew of doctors of Trung Vuong Hospital were present to conduct first aid and took the victim to hospital.
