A view of the Thu Thiem New Urban Area in HCMC’s Thu Duc City. Four land lots in the area will be auctioned early next month

The HCMC Department of Natural Resources and Environment in a report on its performance in the January-October period and its plans for the remaining two months of the year, the department stated that it had reviewed the four land lots managed by the HCMC Land Fund Development Center and would auction them transparently in line with the law.

Besides the four land lots, 3,790 apartments in Thu Duc City’s An Khanh Ward will also be auctioned with a starting price of VND14.7 trillion. Thus, the city may collect more than VND20 trillion from the two auctions.

Procedures for the auction of the 3,790 apartments will be completed soon so that the municipal Appraisal Council can approve the pricing plan for the auction.

In addition, the HCMC Department of Natural Resources and Environment planned to collect the land use fee from nine projects amounting to some VND13.6 trillion.

Earlier, a leader of the HCMC government said in the last months of this year, the city would focus on handling issues at the Thu Thiem New Urban Area project, including the auction of land lots and the return of the capital advanced from the State budget.
