Accordingly, the fine for passengers bringing meat and meat products to Taiwan without declaring ranges from 10,000 TWD to 1 million TWD (324-32,424 USD).

In Japan, if passengers fail to show quarantine certificates for their fresh and processed foods, they will face three years in jail or a fine of up to 1 million JPY (8,900 USD).

Meanwhile, they must declare all risky items such as food made from plant or animal ingredients if they want to get entry into Australia or else they will face a hefty fine of 420,000 AUD (297,200 USD).

Besides handing out leaflets to inform its passengers at check-in counters for flights from Vietnam, the carrier has shown videos on flights to Taiwan, Japan and Australia as well as arranged staff to raise awareness of the public on this issue.-VNA
