A helicopter crashed on Monday in the U.S. state of Florida, killing two medical employees on board and the pilot.
The helicopter carrying the two medical employees from Mayo Clinic flew to the University of Florida to harvest organs. It crashed about 12 miles northeast of Palatka in Florida, said Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen.
The helicopter departed the hospital in Jacksonville, Florida around 5:45 a.m. local time, but never arrived in Gainesville, Florida, according to Kathy Barbour, a spokeswoman for the Mayo Clinic, local media reported.
