VietNamNet Bridge – Three-day high school graduation exams took place on schedule and without major problems, according to the Ministry of Education and Training exams steering committee.

While over 3,800 candidates quit the exams, as many as 45 candidates were found in violation of exam regulations and suspended, a decrease of half compared to last year.
Examination questions were assessed to be exact, scientific and suitable to candidate capability.
La Van Quyet, an ethnic Tay minority student from the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai, said: "In general, the questions were not too difficult, the exams were organised scientifically and safely."
Director of the Lao Cai Department of Education and Training Truong Kim Minh said that this year's examination questions required candidates to understand and apply their knowledge.
"This is an important measure to prevent some students from learning by rote," he said.
The Thua Thien-Hue Red Cross Society joined hands with the provincial Department of Education and Training to provide 1,000 free meals to poor students from ethnic minorities in Nam Dong and A Luoi mountainous districts.
Binh Thuan authorities arranged accommodation for 305 candidates from Phu Quy Island.
