VietNamNet Bridge - The American famous music movie will be performed in HCM City by Buffalo drama troupe.

Buffalo is a new drama group in HCM City, but it has gained fame for Vietnamizing a difficult Broadway musical Broadway "Chicago," the troupe’s first work.

Soon after they performed their own musical, entitled "Red Snow," which is also a big hit on the 5B stage.

When "Chicago" was performed, the audience was shocked and surprised, then impressed by this group of young and new artists, who did what many famous artists and drama theaters in Vietnam could not do. “Chicago” is a real musical, but in Vietnamese and was entirely produced and performed by Vietnamese people. The new names like director Khac Duy, actors Hoang Quan, Diem Phuong, Kha Nhu and Nha Uyen suddenly captured public attention.

Immediately after “Chicago”, the troupe introduced its own musical “Red Snow” at the Little Theatre Stage (i.e. stage 5B Vo Van Tan). The new work was praised by the audience, who are willing to welcome new talented artists.

After the early success with “Chicago” and “Red Snow,” the Buffalo has combined with director Le Bao Trung to arrange the hit musical "High School Musical".

To prepare for this work, their biggest project so far, the Buffalo will pause performances of “Snow Red” to focus on this new musical.

The new musical will be directed by Nguyen Khac Duy, who will also transcribe the entire script and songs of "High School Musical" into Vietnamese. The artists of Buffalo who performed "Chicago" and "Red Snow" will also have to cast for the new musical with others. The musical will be launched in early 2014.
