VietNamNet Bridge – About 1.5 million students will sit for the national high school graduation examinations from June 2-4 this year, the same number as last year, says the Ministry of Education and Training.

About 900,000 students will be from the usual high-school system with the rest coming from the part-time education system.

The full-time students will be tested in six subjects – literature, mathematics, physics, biology, foreign language and geography; the continuing education students while also sit six subjects but will replace foreign language with history.

The ministry has set up an inspection group in each of the 64 provinces and cities to supervise the examinations and also cross-check with other provinces.

This system was introduced last year to ensure fairness and transparency of the examinations, which are most important for a Vietnamese high school student.
