Update news historical evidence
Vietnam has a full legal foundation and historical evidence to back up its sovereignty claims over the Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) islands and calls for all countries to respect international law.
VietNamNet Bridge – Dang Cong Ngu had once bowed to commemorate the Vietnamese soldiers who had died during the sea battle in the Hoang Sa (Paracels) archipelago between Vietnamese and Chinese forces in January 1974.
Published by the Chinese states in 1908, 1919 and 1933, the three atlases that are displayed at an exhibition in Hanoi do not mention Hoang Sa and Truong Sa though China still claims "historic sovereignty" with the two islands.
