Dr. Rebecca Lee, a well-known Hong Kong environmentalist, will come to the BIS Group of Schools to lecture on global warming and polar exploration at BVIS - BIS Hanoi on September 15 and BVIS HCMC on September 16.

The “Into The Cold” workshop is organized by the BVIS Eco-committee – a student-run organization that works on environmental issues at the school and the local community – in cooperation with the BIS Group of Schools. Dr. Lee, 71, will deliver lectures on her experiences at the Polar Regions, her research on global warming, and issues of environmental protection.
Dr. Lee as an environmentalist, explorer, educator and photographer is the first woman in the world and the first person from Hong Kong to have visited North Pole, South Pole, and Mount Everest. She is the founder of the China Polar Museum Foundation, president of the Hong Kong Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology, and vice-chair of the China Association for Expedition.
She traveled to the Poles to conduct research and deliver lectures on the issues of global warming and environmental protection at schools in Hong Kong, China, and Macau, as well as designed teaching material, published books, and produced documentaries.
The workshop for guests from enterprises, organizations, and institutions will be held on September 16 at BVIS HCMC, 44-46 Road No.1, Binh Hung Commune in HCMC’s Binh Chanh District.
