Quang Nam, Da Nang to welcome international visitors

The central localities of Quang Nam and Da Nang have proposed connecting tourism service providers to create a common destination, providing greater experiences for international visitors. The scheme will see travel firms design package tours that last for seven days specifically for foreign tourists.

The joint scheme formulated by the administrations of Quang Nam and Da Nang has been submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration and approval.

Both localities said they will closely coordinate efforts to ensure the effectiveness of the scheme due to start on January 1, 2022. The joint scheme will offer additional convenience for international visitors, whilst also helping to design diverse tours to various destinations throughout the region and providing travelers with fresh experiences.

Quang Nam and Da Nang, alongside Quang Ninh and Khanh Hoa, have been allowed to receive foreign visitors under a pilot program approved by the Prime Minister. The first groups of tourists with a vaccine passport arrived in Quang Nam, Da Nang and Kien Giang in late November, and all these packaged tours proved to be safe. Quang Ninh is anticipating welcoming the first group of foreign visitors at the end of January next year.
