The suspect was identified as Kim Jeehoon, 35, who served as webmaster of 777 SLOT.

According to information given by Interpol, from December 12, 2020, to May 25 of this year Jeehoon and his accomplices had run illegal online gambling site 777 SLOT and had received deposits from many gambling players. The website was not licensed according to Korean Government’s regulations.

After Interpol moved to issue an international arrest warrant for the Korean man, he then fled to Vietnam where he hid at various locations around Ho Chi Minh City.

The local police are now completing procedures in order to hand over the man to Korean authorities.
