The 2025 Vietnam Golden Ball, organized by Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper, recognized Nguyen Hoang Duc for his outstanding and consistent performances throughout the season with Ninh Binh FC and the Vietnam national team.
Hoang Duc received 353 points in total and also claimed the Fans’ Favorite Player award through audience voting.
This marks the third Golden Ball of Hoang Duc’s career, equaling the record of Le Huynh Duc and Le Cong Vinh. At age 27, he is now poised to break the record of four titles held by Pham Thanh Luong.
The Silver Ball went to Nguyen Dinh Bac, who impressed with an exceptional campaign at the 33rd SEA Games, while Nguyen Quang Hai earned the Bronze Ball.
In the women’s category, Bich Thuy won the Golden Ball, surpassing Hai Yen and Thuy Trang. Chau Doan Phat triumphed in the futsal category, taking home the men’s futsal Golden Ball.

The evening also celebrated 30 years of the Vietnam Golden Ball awards, featuring vibrant performances and honoring the legends who have shaped the nation’s football journey.


At the ceremony, former football legends Le Huynh Duc and Nguyen Hong Son announced Hoang Duc as the 2025 Golden Ball winner.

Nguyen Dinh Bac’s Silver Ball was received by former player Pham Thanh Luong on his behalf.

Former midfielder Vo Hoang Buu presented the Bronze Ball to Nguyen Quang Hai.

In the women’s category, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy took home the Golden Ball, while Pham Hai Yen and Tran Thi Thuy Trang received the Silver and Bronze Balls respectively.



For futsal, Chau Doan Phat won the top honor, followed by Tu Minh Quang and Nguyen Da Hai.


Luu Hoang Van from Phong Phu Ha Nam was named Best Young Female Player.

Alan Sebastiao Alexandre, also known as Alan Grafite, of Hanoi Police FC won Best Foreign Player, though he was absent from the ceremony.

The Dedication Award went to Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung from Phong Phu Ha Nam.
