Designer Tylor Ho prepared two evening gowns for Hoang My. The Vietnamese contestant just introduced one gown, which impressed the jury and fashion experts.

 

Missosology, a reputed website on international pageants, has launched ten polls on Miss Universe 2011 pageant. In the poll on the best evening gown, Hoang My ranks fourth, after Miss Angola, Miss South Korea and Miss Albania.

 

Designer Nick Verreos rates her gown 8th of the top ten evening gowns of Miss Universe 2011. “This strappy animal print chiffon gown that Hoang My Vu is wearing here is very Cavalli runway, and on-trend with what's going on in evening gowns. Therefore, she gets high marks from me. It fits beautifully and stands out--in a good way--in a sea of solid bright colored satins. Bring on the prints! As long as they're delicate ones,” Verreos wrote on his blog.

 

Verreos has designed clothes for Beyonce, Kate Perry, Carrie Underwood, Heidi Klum và Eva Longoria.

 
In her diary, Hoang My, wrote that her evening gown is praised by the organizing board, the jury and many contestants.. She wrote about the meeting between contestants and the jury on August 26 to check evening gowns: “I waited for 45 minutes for my turn. When I entered the room, two members in the organizing board said ‘wow’! I walked around the room and turned a round. A juryman looked at my gown and said: ‘it’s just perfect! We don’t need to do anything.' He looked at my shoes and said: 'I love your shoes! Perfect!'

 

Vietnamese fans also like Hoang My’s evening gowns very much, according to a poll on an online newspaper.

 

Miss Universe 2011 has passed over a half. The final night will take place on September 12, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
