According to the new ranking, Ly Hoang Nam had 228.75 points, ranking 165th out of over 2,000 young players (U18). Nam gained 23 spots up and was one of the three players with the biggest move in the top 200 players.

This achievement came after Nam reached the quarter finals in both men's singles and doubles at the China Junior 15 Xiamen. Specifically, entering the men's singles quarter-finals brought about 20 points to him and reaching the quarter finals of the men’s doubles gave him 3.75 points.

Nam also started participating in the harder tournament - the China Junior 16 Beijing (in the system of ITF Grade 2) from September 24. In the first round of this tournament, he quickly defeated Lin Wei-de of Taiwan (6-1, 6-1) and certainly had another 20 points.

At this tournament, Nam is once again in the same group with the first seed Zheng Weiqiang (65th in ITF Junior Rankings) and can face this player in the quarterfinals. Zheng Weiqiang defeated Nam (6-2, 6-2) in the quarterfinals of the China Junior 15 Xiamen.

Nam’s coach – Mr. Tran Duc Quynh said that this would be a great opportunity for Nam to learn from experience after the defeat last week.
