Hoi An among world’s best family holiday destinations overseas.

“This is one of the best holiday destinations for families with older children looking to immerse themselves in culture, Hoi An offers diverse landscapes, delicious and cheap cuisines, beautiful beaches and bustling markets. Vietnam is the perfect budget destination in South East Asia that remains good value for families,” Better Homes and Gardens wrote.

Better Homes and Gardens advises travelers that Hoi An has no airport and no train station. The only way to get there is by road and you can hire a taxi from the neighbouring city of Da Nang, which does have an airport with daily flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other large Vietnamese cities.

Singapore tops the list, followed by Nadi in Fiji, Rovaniemi in Finland, Queenstown in New Zealand, Hoi An in Vietnam, Washington D.C in the US, London in England, Europe, Hawaii, Japan, Dubai.

Earlier, Hoi An has been named among the world’s 10 stunning holiday ideas for 2019 which will inspire you to live the way you’d like to, according to a list released by Elle, a worldwide lifestyle magazine of French origin that focuses on fashion, beauty, health, and entertainment.

Elle advises travelers that Hoi An, arguably Vietnam’s most underrated and marvelous city, is a melting pot of architecture, history and culture. Dating back to the 15th and 19th century, the port-city has a statuesque-ancient-town vibe.

“From ornate Buddhist monasteries to the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge and from the bustling Riverside market to the tranquil old town, Hoi An has it all,” Elle wrote.
