According to the website, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoi An has roots that can be traced back to a 15th-century fishing port. Today the coastal town offers both historical sites and pristine, white-sand beaches.



 

The most famous relic site is the breathtaking Japanese Covered Bridge or locally known as Chùa Cầu, built in the 16th century.

Tourists can have a tour in a traditional wooden boat with only 45 USD per person or visit Cẩm Thanh village to meet craftsman and share a home-cooked meal with a local family.

The site has estimated the total expenses for one-week tour for two people is roundly 2,700 USD.

Besides Hoi An of Vietnam, the site has also listed Siem Reap of Cambodia, Xi’an of China, Sharm el Sheikh of Egypt; Krakow of  Poland, Sofia capital of Bulgaria and Oaxaca city of Mexico.
