Local residents and visitors to Hue will have the opportunity to experience the impressive performance of 10 hot-air balloons in the sky.
In addition, they can register for hot-air balloon flights to watch the sunrise at 6 a.m. from April 10, with each trip carrying two to three passengers for a period of 45 minutes at an altitude of 300 to 500 metres. Ticket price for each person stands at VND4 million.
The shorter flights are capped at a lower price of VND200,000 and will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. within five minutes at an altitude of between 30 metres to 50 metres.
Participants can also visit food stalls, go shopping, and play games at the entertainment complex which will be open on the ground.
Pham Do Hoan, director of HEXA Media Joint Stock Company, said the central city expects to introduce visitors to a special programme as they can experience a diverse and multi-dimensional space to savour scenic views and gain greater insights into the ancient capital’s culture and cuisine.
This year’s event coincides with the VnExpress Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 which is scheduled for April 16 and will feature the participation of 10,000 runners.
Organisers said they will continue to host the hot air balloon festival in Quy Nhon city in the central province of Binh Dinh from April 25 to May 5.
