There is just three days to go until Thanksgiving, a national holiday in the U.S. on the fourth Thursday of November. So, some hotels in town are preparing special treats to offer a memorable day to guests and their families on November 24.

Legend Hotel Saigon (2A-4A Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1, tel: 3823 2833 or 3823 3333 ext. 189/190)

Executive Chef Romeo Bantiling will be adding extras to the buffet spread at the Atrium Cafe such as roast turkey with giblet gravy sauce, duck liver pate with melba toast, seared mackerel fillet with almond capers sauce, among others. Desserts include American apple pie, cinnamon–almond rice pudding, pecan pie ginger cheese cake, and a selection of French cheese. All will be complemented with a free flow of wine, beer, cocktails, soft drinks, coffee and tea for dinner; soft drinks, coffee and tea for lunch.

The Thanksgiving Buffet is priced at VND460,000++ for lunch (11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) and VND840,000++ for dinner (6 p.m. – 10 p.m). Children from 4 to 12 years old are half-price.

Hotel Equatorial HCMC (242 Tran Binh Trong Street, District 5, tel: 3839 7777 ext 8000)

A Thanksgiving buffet will be organized at Chi Chat @ The Cafe on Ground floor of the Hotel Equatorial HCMC. The buffet which includes roasted turkey with cranberry sauce, Brussels sprouts, pumpkin soup and many more is priced at VND630.000 ++ with a free flow of wine, soft drinks and water.

New World Saigon Hotel (76 Le Lai Street, District 1, tel: 3829 4000)

The Parkview at the New World Saigon Hotel welcomes all turkey lovers with a sumptuous Thanksgiving dinner buffet, featuring roast turkey with country stuffing and cinnamon cloves priced at around VND1.16 million (or US$56) per person, excluding tax and service charge, and includes unlimited Beaujolais Nouveau along with Chilean house wine, draft beer and soft drinks.

The dinner buffet will be served from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

From November 23 to December 26 guests can order a freshly roasted takeaway turkey at the price of VND2.28 million (US$110), excluding tax. For every box ordered, guests receive a bottle of red or white wine with the hotel’s compliments.

Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon (8-15 Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1, tel: 3822 0033)

The Riverside Cafe on the ground floor of the hotel will offer to guests and their families a special holiday tradition at the prices of VND838,000++ per person, including soft drinks and VND964,000++ per person, including wine, beer and soft drinks. The buffet is available from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers (88 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, tel: 3827 2828)

The Saigon Cafe offers to guests a Thanksgiving dinner featuring traditional dishes including roast turkey, giblet gravy, chestnut stuffing and cranberry sauce.  Included with all the Thanksgiving favorites will be a free flow of house wine, coffee and tea.

The dinner is priced from VND860,000++ per person.

Sofitel Saigon Plaza (17 Le Duan Boulevard, District 1, HCMC, tel: 3824 1555)

The Sofitel Saigon Plaza’s culinary team offers to guests homemade turkey whether guests wish to celebrate this harvest tradition at home or at Cafe Rivoli restaurant.

There’s a free flow of house wine, beer, and soft drinks and tempting Thanksgiving desserts. The dinner buffet will be proposed from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at VND850,000++ per adult and VND425,000++ per child 6 - 12 year old.

Roasted turkey with condiments is also on offer at Gourmand Shop – Lobby level at VND495,000+ per kilogram. Orders are taken until November 24 and must be placed 48 hours prior to pick-up date.
